How to Connect Stripe to Helvetios (Step-by-Step Guide)

To start accepting payments through Stripe in Helvetios, you first need to connect your Stripe account using API keys.

In this guide, we’ll show you exactly where to find the necessary keys in your Stripe dashboard and how to connect them to Helvetios step by step.

✅ Step 1: Open Stripe Dashboard and Access API Keys

Go to https://dashboard.stripe.com and log in your stripe account.
From the left sidebar, go to Developers → API keys.
You’ll see Standard keys (for Publishable Key) and Restricted keys (for the secure secret key).

✅ Step 2: Create a Restricted Key

Scroll down to the Restricted keys section.
Click Create restricted key.

✅ Step 3: Name the Key and Enter the URL

Choose option Providing this key to another website

Enter a name like Helvetios Integration.
In the Website URL field, enter: https://invoice.helvetios.eu.
Enable the toggle for "Customize permissions for this key".
Click Continue.

✅ Step 4: Set Permissions for the Restricted Key

Enable the following permissions (set them to Write):

Webhook Endpoints
Checkout Sessions
Payment Intents

Usually they are already set by default

Then scroll down and click Create key.

✅ Step 5: Copy the Generated Restricted Key

Once the key is created, copy it immediately – it will only be shown once.
Save it somewhere safe.
Also, copy your Publishable key from the "Standard keys" section above.

The restricted key will be shown only once. Be sure to copy and save it in a safe place.

After you close the window - it will be impossible to find out the key again

✅ Step 6: Go to the Helvetios Integration Panel

Open https://invoice.helvetios.eu and log in.
Click on the Integrations tab in the left sidebar and Connect Stripe.

✅ Step 7: Enter Both Keys and Connect Stripe

In the popup:
- Paste the Publishable key into the first field.
- Paste the Restricted API key into the second field.
Click Connect Stripe.
